Winfield Democrats to Hold Congressional Candidate Forum February 27

 

The Winfield Township Democratic Organization is hosting a Congressional Candidate Forum for the 6^th,13^th,and 14^th Congressional districts on Monday, February 27, at 7:00 pm at the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 701 facility, 28600 Bella Vista Parkway in Warrenville.

 

Expected participants include Christine Cegelis, Tammy Duckworth, Lindy Scott from the 6^th district, Bill Reedy and Joe Shannon from the13^th district, and John Laesch and Ruben Zamora from the 14^th district.

 

The League of Women Voters-Wheaton will moderate the forum, and questions will be taken from the audience in advance.

 

“This is an opportunity for the voters in our area to come and meet the candidates running in the 3 Congressional Districts that comprise Winfield Township,” said Forum committee Chair, Jeanne Sigman. “For the first time there are contested races in each district.”

 

Attendees can enjoy refreshments and meet with the candidates prior to the forum from 6:15 to 6:45 pm.

 

"The Forum Organizing committee has moved forward to present a quality Forum on February 27,” added Sigman. “I'm pleased with the plans for a successful evening.  The committee reflects all the towns and communities that make up Winfield Township."

 

Generous support has been given to this forum by the IBEW Local 701, and the North Central Illinois Labor Council.
