The Naperville Township Democratic Party, DuPage County, Illinois

Welcome to the website of the proud Naperville Township Democratic Party!  We enthusiastically invite you to wander through these pages and links to see for yourself the energy, commitment and talent we bring to the discussions of issues which come before our communities, our State, the Nation, and even the World!  The Democratic Party in Naperville traces its roots straight back to Joseph Naper, the Founding Father of Naperville, and Naperville Township Democrats continue his tradition of caring about the concerns of Eola, Warrenville, Aurora, and Naperville, portions of which all lie within the boundaries of Naperville Township.

So just what does the Democratic Party stand for?  The Preamble to our Party’s Platform, adopted at the national convention in August of 2008, includes the following basic principles:

  • We believe that every American, whatever their background or station in life, should have the chance: to get a good education, to work at a good job with good wages, to raise and provide for a family, to live in a safe community, and to retire with dignity and security.
  • We believe that high quality affordable health care is a basic right.
  • We believe that each succeeding generation should have the opportunity, through hard work, service, and sacrifice, to enjoy a brighter future than the last.

We have made significant progress on a number of fronts, but more remains to be done.  Please consider joining with us as we continue the journey toward a brighter future for all Americans!
