The September Community Forum of the Naperville Township Democratic Organization will be held at 7:30 PM on September 30th at the City of Naperville Municipal Center.

The Forum will feature a presentation by Illinois State Representative Linda Chapa LaVia.  Linda represents District 83, which includes the Kane County portion of the City of Aurora, North Aurora, and Montgomery. First elected in 2002, she was the first Hispanic to win a seat in the state legislature outside of Cook County. The daughter of Texas cotton pickers, Linda was born and raised in Aurora, attended Northern Illinois University, enrolled in the R.O.T.C. program, later graduating and becoming an officer in the United States Army. She is currently on Inactive Ready Reserve.

Linda is a tireless advocate for her district, working toward excellence in education, safer streets and quality healthcare for families and seniors. Her work ethic, energy and passion for community service are admired by all and it is an honor to have her as our speaker.
