This film takes us on a "trashy odyssey" showing where go the water, foods, goods, packaging materials -- all the stuff that we use and then put out -- and how much time and effort, energy and space are required to deal with our discards. This documentary (mis)named Garbage! exposes how our households are ferocious environmental predators. And it dramatically shows how, as the subtitle declares: The Revolution Starts at Home. The Green Sanctuary committee is supplying this feature (source: 800/819-0701, andrew@andrewnisker.com). They will spark audience deliberation following it -- about what more each of us can do, if we commit, to minimize our polluting ways -- with each flush, each errand, each purchase, each paper, each bag . . . .
Directions: Go (south of Route 88) to the corner of Naperville Road and Diehl. Proceed one block east along Diehl, then turn left/north. Enter the Unitarian Church ahead on your right.
